Resident Resources
Everything a Castlewood resident in Waukegan, North Chicago, Zion or Kenosha needs in one place: how to pay rent, how to get something fixed, and who to ask about your lease.
Paying rent
Rent is due on the 1st of the month and is late after the 5th, including when the 5th falls on a weekend or a holiday. There are two ways to pay.
1. By mail
Send a check or money order made payable to Clear Capital LLC to:
Clear Capital LLC
c/o Josh Tobey
2700 Central Road
Glenview, IL 60025
A mailed payment has to be received by the 5th, not just posted, so allow time for delivery. The Glenview address is only for mailing payments. Our office is still at 1700 Sheridan Road in North Chicago.
2. In person at Chase Bank, Waukegan
Pay at the Chase Bank Waukegan branch only, 3950 Fountain Square Place, Waukegan, IL 60085. Bring the rent payment card you were given and a current driver’s license or state ID. The teller gives you a receipt; keep it.
With every payment
- Include your name and your property address.
- Do not leave payments in the Castlewood office mailbox.
- If you do not have your rent payment card, or have a question about your balance, contact Brian Newman on (847) 505-9825 or Accounting@CastlewoodProperties.com.
There is no online payment portal at the moment.
Maintenance and repairs
Text Linda Ceja on (847) 858-5846. Use the same number for routine repairs and for urgent or after hours problems.
In your text, include:
- The property address, and your unit if you have one
- A specific description of the problem
- Your best callback number
If there is a fire, a smell of gas, or anyone is in danger, call 911 first.

Questions about your lease, renewing it, or the rules for your property go to Dan Taylor on (224) 381-2027. Questions about rent you have paid or owe go to Brian Newman on (847) 505-9825.
